HUMIDEX

today toronto had a heat emergency. supposedly the temperature climbed up to 112 F, which is pretty warm. for me, it was laundry day. at the laundromat i go to, there are all these cool old tin toys, like drumming pandas that the box claims to be "amusing" and "gay". Waiting for my laundry, i saw the end of an episode of blind date and then the news. the news was mostly about things that might happen because of all the heat, because nothing had really happened yet but i guess they wanted to make a big segment about it. there was also a piece on retarded kids being abused in a foster home. it was sad. now i am home and i made a really yummy sandwich, with fake turkey and cheese and mustard and pickles and garlic hummus and sprouts, mmmmm it was mighty good. i am tempted to make another one. tomorrow i am going to go shopping downtown because i want some new clothes and a sassy shower curtain. my landlady is getting me a new fridge sometime this month, which is good, because the one i have sucks. the freezer doesnt' seal shut so it gets giant icicles and frost mountains inside and if i want anything, i have to smash the ice to get to it. well not quite, thats an exaggeration. but it doesn't matter. meow
